どもども～～。ちぷです。
2020年も残すところあと5日！ですね！
早かったな～～一年！
でもなんだか一年中バタバタしていた年だった。。。
2020年1月4日からフィリピンに旅立ち、わくわくで留学生活を迎え、
2月は思う存分、留学生活を楽しんだ！
3月は状況が一変。コロナが流行し出して学校から一歩も外へ出れなくなり・・
4月はカナダに行く予定が日本から出れなくなり、ひたすらTOEIC対策
5月はいざTOEIC受験！と張り切るも、コロナで中止。
6月は新しいことを始めようと、日本語教師の資格の勉強も開始。
7月は実家でひたすらTOEICと日本語教師の勉強。
8月はオンライン英会話を開始し、英会話力の低さに打ちひしがれる。。。
9月はひたすらTOEIC、日本語教師、オンライン英会話！
10月は京都にて2週間英語合宿！そして日本語教師の試験を受験！
11月はやっっっとTOEICが受験できてスコア850を取得！
12月は再びTOEICを受験するも845とそこまで伸びず。。。
と、こんな感じの1年でした！
あと、ブログを始めたり、YouTubeを始め・・ようと思ったけど、これは未遂に終わりました。来年から始めようと思っています。
コロナでみなさんも予定が色々と変更になり大変な年だったと思います。
2021年はどうか平穏な一年になりますように。。。
はいっ。恒例の話の脱線事故が起きたところで、話を戻しますね！
今日はWritingスキルアップチャレンジ9日目です～～！
いやっほ～～～～い！
今日のテーマは「Generation Z vs Millenials（Z世代とミレニアル世代）」！
・・・はて？？？って感じですよね。笑
簡単に言うと、「世代の違いについて」です。
ちょっとだけ解説しておきますね。
「Generation Z」や「Millenials」というのはアメリカの世代の分け方で、
Z世代 というのは「10～24歳」の世代を指し、
ミレニアル世代 というのは「25～42歳」の世代を指します。
ちなみに・・・
X世代 というのは「43～54歳」の世代を指します。
日本でもよく「ゆとり世代」とか「さとり世代」っていいますよね。
そんな感覚です。
う～～む。。昨日の「Sport（スポーツ）」の方が書きやすかったなぁと思った方。
完全に同感です。笑
でも、意外にそれぞれの質問は書きやすかったり？したので昨日の「Sports」と同じ早さくらいで書き終わりました。
ちなみにわたしはだいたいいつも1時間半～2時間半で書き終わります。
今回は2時間弱で終わりました。

Part１
1. When were you born?
（あなたはいつ生まれましたか？）
I was born in 1989. I am of the millennial generation. The name of the Japanese era “Heisei” began from my birth year. Generally, people call something old “Showa” which is the previous name of the Japanese era before “Heisei.” For instance, people say “Showa!” when someone says an old joke.
2. Do you still believe in old traditions?
（あなたは古くからの伝統を守っていますか？）
No, I am not familiar with old Japanese traditions such as “Nengajou.” Predominantly, people send postcards to relatives, friends, teachers, and co-workers on New Year’s Day as a greeting. However, I quit the custom because I send messages instead of it. It is easy and free.
3. What do you think about today’s marriage styles?
（昨今の結婚様式についてどう思いますか？）
I like them because there are various styles. We can choose our favorite one. There are options such as the Japanese traditional style or the Western-style. I prefer the latter, but the former is getting popular. I guess people are getting into the Japanese traditions and most of their parents get delighted to see the style.
4. What can you say about the young people of today? With compare to teens of 10 years ago?
（昨今の若者について、10年前の若者と比べて何が言えますか？）
It seems that they are familiar with electronics and information technologies more than teenagers of ten years ago. There has been the Internet before they were born. So, they have been familiar with searching for something on the Internet on their own since childhood. However, I am not sure if it is good or not because they don’t have the habit to think by themselves.
5. Are you more like a conservative or a liberal?
（あなたは保守的なタイプですか、それとも革新的なタイプですか？）
I am a liberal person. I like trying new things. I am not afraid of changes. I look for a new way to do something for the better.
Part２
Describe the principle you firmly believe in
（あなたが強く信じている信念について説明してください）
It is to begin what I want to do before thinking. I learned this phrase from a book. The author of it is Takafumi Horie. He is the former CEO of a big Japanese company. He published a lot of books and they are all informative. I read the book when I was a computer engineer. I was disgruntled with my job, so I wanted to change it. However, I hadn’t been able to do that because of my lack of courage. But it gave me energy. I finally could decide to quit my job. After that, I traveled to Asia and European countries. I could see lots of local people and learn the importance of English. I think it is valid because I could change my life thanks to the principle. Nothing changes if we don’t start.

1. Do you think today’s generation is better than GENERATION X?
（昨今の世代はX世代（43～54歳）より良いと思いますか？）
I don’t think so because we have a lot of useful stuff. I really appreciate the progress of technology. We can connect with others whenever we want thanks to the Internet. We can go wherever we want thanks to the aircraft. I am delighted that we can live comfortably and peacefully.
2. What do you think is/are the differences between the two generations?
（2つの世代の違いについて何を思いますか？）
I think it is relationships with others. Nowadays, it is getting weak. Let's say, children. The children of the old generation often played with friends face to face. But, the children of today’s generations tend to play with friends by playing online games. Speaking of that, the former was better than the latter.
3. There is a proverb that says, "Millennial is the generation of action rather than talk. It is breaking the norm how stupid we were before“ Do you agree?
（こんな格言があります。「ミレニアル世代は話すより行動する世代だ。それはよく言われている「我々は以前、非常に愚かだった」という内容を打ち破る。あなたはこれに賛成ですか？）
Yes, I agree with that. In my opinion, Millennial is more energized than today’s generation. They try to do anything powerfully. On the other hand, today’s generation is prone to be afraid of trying something new. It is because they think too much before starting.
